Privacy Policy

At No Mercy Shop we process as little personal data as possible. You cannot create an account with us, so we keep no profile, no password and no order history tied to an account.

What we process

If you order something, we process only what is needed to fulfil that order: your name, your delivery address, your email address and the details of your order. We ask for nothing more.

For the webshop to work, your IP address may be linked to a session. That times out after 24 hours. Come back hours later and your basket is still there, but after 24 hours it is not.

What we use them for

We use your details to handle your order. That includes packing and sending your parcel, and processing your payment. After delivery we send you one email asking whether everything arrived in good order. That is a service message, not advertising. We send no newsletter and we do not use your details to offer you something later.

How long we keep them

After your order has been handled, your details stay in our order system for thirty days. That is the statutory cooling-off period, the time in which you may still return your order, plus some extra margin in case a problem comes up. Once that term has passed, we remove your details from the order system.
So you are not sitting in the webshop's database for years. With this we hope to avoid harming our entire customer base should there ever be a data breach at our shop. We of course do everything we can to prevent one in the first place, but a 100% guarantee is not something anyone can give.

What remains after that is only the data we are legally required to keep for our bookkeeping. We keep that for as long as the law requires, and no longer.

Who else sees your details

We do not sell your details and we do not pass them on to others, with one exception: the parties needed to fulfil your order. Those are the carrier delivering your parcel, who needs your name and address for that, the payment provider handling your payment, and our bookkeeper. They may use those details only to carry out their task, and for nothing else.

After you have received your order, we send one more email asking whether everything went well, with a review link in it.
These reviews help us enormously and we are very grateful if you take the time to write one. When you click the link in the email you come to our website, where you are asked whether Trustpilot may send you an invitation for a review. When you press the button to receive that invitation, the website sends your first name and email address to Trustpilot. This is needed to show the reviews as verified. A nice side effect is that you do not have to create an account or log in at Trustpilot to write the review.

We want to stress that no personal data goes to Trustpilot without you choosing that yourself.
In a standard Trustpilot setup, all the information in the confirmation email of every order would be sent to Trustpilot.
In ours, only your first name and email address, and only when you choose that yourself.

Cookies

We use only functional cookies on our site, the ones needed for the webshop to work. We use no analytical cookies from third parties.

Some product pages carry a video from YouTube. We embed these through the no-cookie variant, so YouTube sets no tracking cookies as long as you do not play the video. What does happen: as soon as such a page loads, Google sees your IP address and which page you are on. That is needed to show the video at all. If you do play the video, YouTube may still set cookies, and YouTube's own terms apply to those.

Your rights

You may always ask which details we hold about you, have them corrected if something is wrong, and have them deleted. Get in touch through the contact page. If you feel we are not handling your data carefully, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
