The CLOUDRAY A6 is the smallest of the four circulation fans we stock from this brand, and choosing between those four comes down to exactly one thing you cannot see in a photograph.

Aiming it yourself or letting it sweep

The A models, the A6 and A9, have a manual swivel. You point the fan where you want it and there it stays. The S models, the S6 and S9, sweep back and forth on their own.

That difference is the whole difference between the two series. The number after the letter is only the blade diameter: A6 and S6 are both 150 mm, A9 and S9 both 225 mm.

When a fixed position is enough: if you run several fans and each covers its own corner, if you are targeting one spot where moisture sits, or if one plant simply stands above the rest. A fixed fan also costs less and has one moving part fewer.

When you would rather sweep: in a full tent where one fan has to reach the whole canopy, and anywhere a constant stream would sit on the same leaves. Leaves taking the same wind for hours dry out faster than the rest.

Everything else is shared: the same EC motor with carbon steel gears, the same dual ball bearings, the same IP54 protection against dust and spray, and the same wired controller with ten speeds and ten wind modes.

The clamp

The clamp is metal and grips a tent pole like a vice. That is deliberate: a clip fan that slowly slides down over two weeks ends up blowing at your pot instead of your canopy. The dual ball bearings let it hang in any orientation, including upside down from a top bar.

Frequently asked questions

Does this fan oscillate by itself?
No. The A6 is aimed by hand. For automatic sweeping, take the S6 in the same size.

Can it run on a smart controller?
Yes, over UIS on a Controller 69 Pro or newer. That controller is sold separately.

Can it hang upside down?
Yes, in any orientation. That is what the dual ball bearings are for.
