The CLOUDRAY A9 is the large fixed-direction model, meant for tents where one circulation fan has to serve the whole canopy. Where you hang it does more for your crop than how hard you run it.

Where a circulation fan belongs

The first rule is never to blow straight at a plant. A leaf taking constant wind transpires faster than the roots can resupply, and you see it as curling edges on that one plant while the rest looks fine.

What you do want is the air in the whole space moving. So aim the fan along the wall or just over the tops rather than at them. The air returns on the far side and you get a circulating flow instead of a jet.

Two heights are worth using. Above the canopy you break up the warm layer collecting under the tent roof and keep it moving toward extraction. Below the canopy, just above the pots, you attack the still humid air between the stems, and that is exactly where mould starts.

With one fan, hang it above the canopy and angle it down along the leaves. With two, the second is better spent low than as another one up top.

Why this size

At 405 CFM this fan moves more air at a low setting than a smaller one at a high setting, which is the quieter way to get the same movement. The motor is brushless EC with carbon steel gears and dual ball bearings, sealed to IP54 against the dust and moisture of a grow space.

Frequently asked questions

How many circulation fans do I need?
In a tent up to 120 x 120 cm one of this size is enough, provided you aim it along the crop rather than at it. Above that, a second one low beats running one harder.

Does it oscillate automatically?
No, the A9 is aimed by hand. The S9 is the sweeping version in the same size.

Can it run continuously?
Yes, it is built for it. A lower setting running all the time serves your crop better than occasional full power.
