A 200 mm duct silencer for the ducting run, lined with neoprene foam in a galvanised steel body. Reversible stainless steel flanges.
The largest size, meant for extraction carrying the most air. That is exactly where the question comes up: does adding a silencer simply cost you airflow?
Does a silencer cost you airflow
Every component in a line adds resistance, so strictly speaking: yes, a little. The question is how much, and where it comes from.
Inside, a silencer is a straight smooth tube with foam in its wall. There is no bend in it, no restriction and nothing for the air to work around. The resistance it adds is comparable to a straight section of ducting of the same length, which is considerably less than the bend you probably already have.
What does cost airflow is a silencer in the wrong place. Right against the fan, where the air is still spinning and not yet flowing evenly across the section, it works less well and you feel more resistance. A straight run-up of a few tens of centimetres between fan and silencer is better, and a bend immediately after it removes part of the effect.
The sensible order is: pick your fan with headroom, keep the ducting short and straight, and put the silencer in the straight section. Then it buys quiet without showing up in your climate. On a fan already running at its limit, the silencer is not your problem; the size of the fan is.
Build
Neoprene foam in an egg-crate profile, galvanised steel body, stainless reversible flanges. At this size it is a substantial component, so plan hanging points rather than leaving it on the ducting.

Frequently asked questions
How much airflow does it cost me?
Roughly what a straight length of ducting of the same size costs. Far less than an extra bend.
Where is the best place for it?
In the straight section after the fan, not hard against the fan and not immediately before a bend.
Does it need its own hanging point?
Yes. Do not leave the weight on the ducting or on the fan's flange.
