How little is enough

This is a concentrate, and it asks for a different habit than an ordinary supermarket air freshener.

Start with two or three puffs into the middle of the room, aimed upward so the mist can settle and spread. Then wait a few minutes. Scent needs time to distribute, and the judgement you make in the first seconds is about the cloud in front of your face, not about the room.

If it is too little after those minutes, add one more puff. This order sounds fussy but it avoids the classic outcome: a room that smells too heavy, with nothing to be done about it but airing.

Do not aim directly at furniture, fabric or plants. Concentrated oil on a surface can stain, and it has no business on foliage.

In a room with mechanical extraction the scent disappears faster than you would expect, simply because the air is being replaced. So spray when the extraction is running low, if you can.
