Scent diffuser for a 160 mm duct. You get the connector, a bottle of fragrance oil and an absorb stick, so it can go into use straight away.

What is in the box, and what happens in the first three hours

The system is three parts, and that is the whole installation.

The connector is the plastic body that fits into your duct. The absorb stick is a porous rod that draws the oil up, like the wick of an oil lamp. The bottle of fragrance oil screws onto it.

To start it, open the bottle, set the stick gently into the neck and screw the bottle with stick into the connector. Keep the bottle upright as you do: at an angle, oil can run down the outside of the stick rather than through it.

After that little happens for a while, and that is normal. The stick has to saturate first. After roughly three hours it is charged and the unit gives its full scent. So do not judge the strength in the first half hour, when it looks as though nothing is happening.

One bottle lasts at least sixty days. After that you replace bottle and stick together, since a used stick is saturated with the old oil.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I smell almost nothing at first?
The stick has to fill with oil first. Allow around three hours before the unit works at full strength.

Can the bottle sit at an angle?
No, straight and vertical. Otherwise the oil runs down the stick instead of through it.

Do I replace only the bottle?
Bottle and stick belong together. The refill pack contains both.
