Can-Fan Fast Clamp 100mm Ventilation Connection

A 100 mm quick coupling for joining two flanged ventilation parts.

The Fast Clamp pulls two flanges together and holds them there. That sounds like something tape could do, and that is exactly where the difference lies.

What a clamp does and tape does not

Tape holds for as long as the adhesive holds. Extracted air from a growing space is warm and humid, which is precisely the condition in which adhesive lets go. A joint sagging open halfway through a cycle leaks odour the wrong way, and you generally notice by smell rather than by any instrument.

This clamp works mechanically: it draws the two flanges together and compresses the 5 mm neoprene seal between them. As long as the clamp is closed, the joint is closed.

The second advantage is that you can open it again. Changing a filter or pulling a fan out to inspect the impeller then costs no fresh roll of tape and leaves no residue on the steel.
