Can-Fan Iso-Max 150 Inline Fan 410 m³/h

A damped 150 mm duct fan with three speeds up to 410 m³/h, drawing about 51 W at 0.2 A.

The Iso-Max 150 is the smallest of the range where the fan sits inside the silencer. That makes it interesting for where most growing spaces actually are: close to living space.

Why the smallest size is the one bought damped

In a large installation in a shed or unit, noise is often no problem. At 150 mm you are usually in a room, a loft or a cupboard indoors, and there every decibel counts.

At 0.2 A and around 51 W it is also the most economical way to get damped extraction in this size. Compare it with an ordinary fan plus a separate silencer: that combination costs you more duct run, two extra couplings and a higher power draw for the same airflow.

Do watch the space it needs. An Iso-Max is a substantial unit because the silencer wraps around it, and at 6.1 kg more hangs from your structure than with a plastic duct fan. Measure the available room before ordering.

Three speeds, no separate controller

Speed is set with the switch belonging to the fan, three settings up to 410 m³/h.

Do not connect an external speed controller. Can states this explicitly for the three-speed versions of the Iso-Max. On the larger single-speed Iso-Max it is the other way round, so do not assume the rule is the same throughout this range.

Build

The housing is metal, lined inside with a special foam that absorbs sound. The motor carries a thermal switch that cuts out at excessive working temperature. Mounting brackets are supplied.
