The Max-Fan Pro 160 is the most economical fan we carry from this brand, and not by a small margin. It delivers more air than the 150 mm version and uses one watt less doing it.

Almost fourteen cubic metres per watt

Set output against power and this one lands at roughly 13.7 m³/h per watt. For comparison, a 160 mm centrifugal duct fan doing a similar job in our range needs 103 W for 780 m³/h, which works out at about 7.6.

That is not a marginal gain but close to a doubling, and it is the reason to look at this range for a new installation rather than at the cheaper plastic models. The purchase price is higher, consumption is structurally lower, and extraction runs thousands of hours a year.

Do note the trade-off: you are buying two speeds and nothing in between. Anyone who likes to trim to a precise airflow is in the wrong place here.

Mounting

The most striking thing about the build is on the outside. The duct connection is integrated into the mounting brackets, so it is not a case of hanging the fan first and then fitting a flange to it.

The order is the other way round and it saves work: first fix the adapter where the fan is going, then slide the unit in and secure it with two screws. Want it out later to inspect the impeller, and you undo those same two screws while the rest of your installation stays put.

Regulation is by the switch on the fan. An external controller is not permitted on this range.
