The Max-Fan Pro 250 is the largest model in this range we carry. Its two speeds sit strikingly close together, and that matters more than it appears to.

The low setting is not an economy setting here

Between 1470 and 1660 m³/h lies a little over ten percent. On the 200 mm version that gap is 35 percent, so anyone used to a two-speed fan whose low setting gives a materially different pace will be caught out.

That is not a shortcoming but a consequence of what this fan is for. It is built to move a large volume, and the second speed is fine adjustment at the top of that range rather than half a gear below it.

The consequence for your choice is plain: this model suits a space where 1470 m³/h still makes sense. If you do not need that air, take the 200 mm version, where the low setting genuinely brings you down a level. Running an oversized fan permanently on its lowest speed solves nothing, because the lowest speed here is high.

Weight and hanging

At 5.3 kg this is the heaviest device in the range, and in practice it hangs on 250 mm ducting with a carbon filter nearby that weighs several times as much again.

Support that assembly on something equal to it rather than on a tent pole. Hang the filter separately instead of letting it pull on the fan, and put a length of flexible ducting between filter and fan so vibration does not carry into the structure. The duct adapter in the brackets takes the weight at the point where you fix it, so that fixing is what has to be solid.
