The Can-Filters Inline 1500 is the largest Inline we carry: 102.5 cm long, 36.5 cm across, 24 kg, with 7.6 kg of carbon in a 5 cm bed. 1500 m³/h in practice, 1650 technically, on a 250 mm flange.
It can sit anywhere in the run, not only at the end
This is the real difference from an ordinary carbon filter. That one is an end piece: it belongs at the start of your extraction and nowhere else. An Inline is a length of ducting with carbon in it, and so it fits at any point along the route.
At this size that matters mostly for practical reasons, because 102.5 cm and 24 kg are not things you necessarily want inside your grow room. You can place it wherever the structure allows: in a loft, along a wall, somewhere a load-bearing point already exists.
That freedom comes with a condition. A filter in the middle of a duct run does not hang from the ducting; in a sense the ducting hangs from the filter. Twenty-four kilos calls for its own support at two points, and for ducting on either side that is carried in its own right. Ducting made to carry the filter's weight pulls out of true at the joints over time, and there goes your airtightness.
Choosing a fan for it
Size on the technical 1650 m³/h rather than the practical 1500. The difference is the room for your own run's resistance, and with an Inline that run is by definition longer than with a filter at the end. From our range, the Max-Fan Pro 250 at 1660 m³/h lands almost exactly there.
