The Can-Filters Inline 425 handles 425 m³/h in practice and 467 technically, on a 125 mm flange. It is 87 cm long, 30 cm across and weighs 8.5 kg.

The filter does not have to hang in the grow room

An ordinary carbon filter sits at the start of the extraction and therefore always indoors. That costs you the space it takes up, and it is in the way while you work. The Inline sits within the ducting, so it can just as well hang outside the room: in a loft, in a cupboard, in the hallway behind the wall.

That moves three things outside at once:

  • Bulk. 87 cm of filter is no longer standing in your tent. In a 100 by 100 that is the difference between reaching your plants and not.
  • Heat. Fan and filter together give off heat. Outside the room they are not loading your climate.
  • Noise. Most of the noise comes from the fan, and in an Inline setup that usually hangs in the same stretch of ducting. Put that stretch behind a wall and you hear noticeably less of it.

What it costs you in length

This version is 87 cm long. That is substantial, and it is the flip side of the construction: there is a Can-Lite inside a steel casing, so the casing is always longer than the filter within it. Count those 87 cm at the place where it will hang, then, not in the tent you are clearing it out of.

The carbon is the same as in a Can-Lite 425: 1.6 kg in a 2.5 cm bed. Filtration is therefore identical to the standalone filter. Here too, air may pass in either direction.

Frequently asked questions

Can this filter really go outside the grow room?
Yes. Can states that as an application itself. You take it up into the ducting wherever suits you, inside or out.

Why is it longer than a Can-Lite 425?
Because there is a casing around it. The filter inside is a Can-Lite; the enclosure with its inlet and outlet makes the whole thing longer.

Why does it say 467 and not 476?
467 m³/h is the technical capacity of this Inline version. The standalone Can-Lite 425 is rated 476; the enclosure costs a little.

What connection does it have?
This version has a 125 mm flange.
