Can-Filters Inline 600

The Can-Filters Inline 600 does 600 m³/h in practice and 660 technically, on a 160 mm flange. It is 60.5 cm long, 31.5 cm across and weighs 10 kg, with 2.2 kg of carbon in a 5 cm bed.

It filters both ways

An ordinary carbon filter hangs on the suction side of your fan and so only filters the air going out. The Inline sits within the ducting and works in both directions: you can push air through it or pull, and either way a hundred percent passes through the carbon.

That opens an application a normal filter cannot manage, namely filtering your incoming air. Three situations make it worth considering.

• The supply air is not clean. Draw fresh air from a shed, a cellar or a crawl space and dust, mould spores and damp come with it. A filter in the supply duct stops that before it is in your room.
• Odour must not come in either. In a shared building or a common shaft the airflow sometimes works the wrong way. Filtering on the supply side then doubles as an odour lock.
• Positive rather than negative pressure. Run a setup that pushes air in and your filter is by definition on the pressure side. For an Inline that is no obstacle.

Built short and wide

This version is 60.5 cm long by 31.5 cm across, with a 5 cm carbon bed. That bed is twice as thick as the one in the Inline 300 and 425, and it is where the jump to 600 m³/h comes from. In practice it means this filter builds shorter than the Inline 425 while moving more air.

Can I put it in my supply duct?
Yes. The Inline filters in both directions, so it works on incoming air as well as outgoing.

Why is it shorter than the Inline 425?
It is built wider and has a carbon bed twice as thick. That means it needs less length for more air.

Should the fan go before or after it?
Either is fine. Choose on where you can house the fan and where you would rather have the noise.

What connection does this version have?
