The 100 BFT is the heaviest carbon filter we stock. A steel cylinder a full metre long and 40 cm across, 50 kg on the scales, holding 33 kg of pelletised carbon in a 6.5 cm bed. It moves 1400 m³/h in practice and 1600 technically. It connects at 250 mm, and it is collected from the shop.
Fifty kilos is an installation question, not a specification
On this filter the weight is the first thing to have a plan for, not the last. A metre of steel with fifty kilos of carbon in it does not hang from a tent pole or from two screws in plasterboard.
There are two workable answers. The first is standing on the floor, upright, flange up and ducting running to the fan above. That is the simplest; it asks only 40 cm of floor space and a level surface. The second is suspended from the building's structure, from at least two points and with brackets around the body, never from the flange alone. Hanging it from a grow tent frame is out: no tent is built for this load.
Expect to move it with two people as well. It is not only heavy, it is long, and the weight is spread across that whole metre.
Why it is collection only
Fifty kilos does not travel as a parcel. PostNL and DHL will not accept this weight, so this filter is listed for collection at the shop. Bring someone with you, or a sack truck.
Fans
Can names the Max-Fan Pro 250 at 1660 m³/h and the Iso-Max 250 at 1480 among others for this model. Both are available from us and both sit above the practical 1400 this filter is rated for.

Frequently asked questions
Can I hang it in a grow tent?
No. A tent frame will not carry this. Stand it on the floor beside the tent or hang it from the building.
Does it work standing upright?
Yes, upright and horizontal work equally well. At this size, standing is usually the sensible choice.
What size room is 1400 m³/h meant for?
At roughly twenty five air changes an hour that lands around 55 m³, so a real grow room rather than a cabinet.
How much carbon is in it and how long does that last?
It holds 33 kg, more than any other filter in this range. Can works to a minimum of thirty months in normal use.
