How much ducting does one tent actually need?

Five metres sounds modest beside a box of ten, but for a single set-up it is usually just enough. Work it out from the three lengths you need.

Carbon filter to fan: with both hanging inside the tent that is half a metre to one metre, and sometimes nothing at all, because they bolt straight together.

Fan to outside: this is the long one. From the tent to a window or an outlet in the same room, two to three metres is usual.

The intake, if you drive one: another one to two metres to wherever you draw fresh air from.

Together that is three to five metres, which is why this is the box that suits one tent. Building two rooms, or running the exhaust to another floor, means going to ten metres: topping up later costs you a second delivery for a small piece of ducting.
