Fertraso Wall Fan RC 40cm 16 inch

A wall fan with a 40 cm blade, three fan modes, 90 degree oscillation and an adjustable tilt. The AB in the name stands for afstandsbediening, Dutch for remote control, and that is exactly what sets this version apart from the hand-operated one.

A remote is not a luxury here

On a fan standing on a table a remote is a convenience. On a fan hanging on a wall it is something else: you have hung it at the height where it works best, and that is rarely a height where you can easily reach the buttons.

Without a remote, changing a setting means climbing up to it, or not bothering. In practice the second is what happens: the fan stays on whatever setting it was once put on. With a remote you do change it, and then you actually use all three settings.

The 7.5 hour timer

Alongside the settings there is a shut-off timer, adjustable up to 7.5 hours. That fits how a grow room runs: you can have the fan follow a light period and then stop by itself, without a separate timer switch in the cabinet.

Note what it is not: it is a shut-off timer, not a switch-on clock. It counts down from the moment you set it. If you want the fan to come back on by itself, you still need a timer switch at the socket.

Construction

A protective metal grille at the front, an impact-resistant plastic grille at the back and a polypropylene propeller, which stands up to the products that can be in the air in a grow room. The cord is 2 metres with an earthed plug.
