Which of the two you need

We stock this type in two ranges and together they cover everything that turns up in a grow room. This large one is for 200 and 250 mm ducting, and for anything that has to reach around a thick flange or insulated ducting.

On 160 mm ducting it will work, but you wind a long stretch of band through the screw head before it bites. That costs time on every fitting and the coiled tail sticks out. For 100 to 160 mm the small clamp is the nicer tool.

Note that on insulated ducting you go by the outer size, not the duct size. A 160 mm Sonoconnect measures well over 200 mm on the outside, and then this is the only one of the two that still reaches around it.

Will it fit 250 mm ducting?
Yes, with margin. The range runs to 270 mm, so it reaches around a flange or a thicker wall too.

Does it work on insulated ducting?
Yes, and there it is often the only option. Tighten less hard on insulated ducting, or you crush the insulation flat.

Is the band as strong as on the small clamp?
Yes, both are 9 mm W1. Only the length of the band differs.
