Vents 100 VKO Axial Inline Fan with Bracket 105m³/h

An axial duct fan for 100 mm ducting with a mounting bracket, rated 105 m³/h. UV-resistant ABS, IPX4.

The 100 VKO with bracket is the same fan as the version without, plus one addition. That addition costs little and decides whether you can site it at all.

What the bracket does

Without a bracket this fan is mounted inside the duct itself: it sits in the pipe and the pipe carries it. That works well in a fixed PVC system.

With the bracket you can also screw it to a flat surface, horizontal or vertical. That changes where you can use it: on a shelf, against a wall, on a ceiling or on a timber frame, with the ducting attached to it rather than around it.

When you want the bracket: if you are working with flexible ducting rather than rigid pipe. Flexible ducting carries nothing, so a fan held in place only by its ducting ends up pulling on its own connection. The bracket takes that weight.

When you do not need it: in a fixed PVC system where the pipe carries the fan, or where it is already clamped between sections.

If you are using flexible ducting, secure the connection with clamps in any case. On a fan this light that is not excessive caution, it is the normal way of doing it.

Construction

Otherwise identical to the version without a bracket: axial impeller, casing and impeller in UV-resistant ABS, maintenance-free motor with overheating protection, IPX4 and rated for continuous duty. Control from a light switch or thyristor controller. This version too is meant for short runs at low resistance, so not for use with a carbon filter.
