The 125 VKO with bracket does not have to sit inside a duct to do its job. That opens up an arrangement the bare version cannot manage.

On a surface rather than in a pipe

The supplied bracket lets you screw the fan to any flat surface it meets: a wall, a ceiling, a shelf, the top of a cupboard. The fan then stands on its own and the ducting comes to it rather than the other way round.

That is more useful than it sounds as soon as your setup is not made of straight pipe. You can put the fan where it fits best and where you can reach it, rather than where the ducting happens to run.

It also makes servicing simpler. A fan screwed to a surface comes off without dismantling your pipework. On something this light that is a matter of two screws.

Do think about vibration. A fan bolted tight to a wooden panel or a thin wall passes its vibration into it, and a panel that vibrates along makes more noise than the fan itself. A strip of rubber between bracket and surface usually solves it.

Construction

Axial impeller and casing in UV-resistant ABS, maintenance-free motor with overheating protection, IPX4 and rated for continuous duty. Control from a light switch or a thyristor controller. Like the rest of the VKO range this is meant for short runs with little resistance, so not in combination with a carbon filter.
