Vents 150 VKO Axial Inline Fan 298m³/h

An axial duct fan for 150 mm ducting, rated 298 m³/h. UV-resistant ABS, IPX4.

The 150 VKO is the largest axial in this range. If it still falls short, there is a remedy that works for axial fans and rarely for other types.

Two fans in series

Vents states explicitly for this range that two fans may be installed in series for higher performance. With axial fans that is a real option, precisely because building pressure is their weakness: two in the same duct push harder against resistance together.

What it does not do is double your airflow. Two fans in series roughly double the pressure they can build between them, not the quantity of air. So you gain mainly on a run where resistance is holding you back, not on a short straight through-run where you did not need that pressure anyway.

If what you want is more air at low resistance, do not put two fans in series but on two separate runs, or choose a centrifugal fan that makes more pressure by itself.

Practically: fit them the same way round, both with the airflow, and switch them together so one never runs while the other stands still.

Construction

Casing and impeller in UV-resistant ABS, maintenance-free motor with overheating protection, IPX4, rated for continuous duty, switchable from a light switch or controllable with a thyristor controller. This size too is meant for low resistance and so not for use with a carbon filter.
