A 150 mm inline fan with a mixed-flow impeller and two-speed motor, rated 405 or 520 m³/h at 33 to 44 dB(A) measured at three metres. Weighs 3.19 kg.
The TT 150 is the largest of the standard TT series we stock, and the size most asked for in growing. One choice comes with it that you meet only here.
150 or 160 millimetres
We stock the standard TT in 150 mm and the TT Pro in 160 mm. That is not arbitrary: Vents builds both sizes but not every series in every size, and the two come from different worlds.
150 mm is the growing world's size. Ducting, carbon filters, clamps and silencers are available everywhere in 150, and nearly every tent with a port is built for it. Choose this fan and the rest follows.
160 mm comes from domestic and commercial building ventilation. There it is a standard size, but in a grow shop it is not: filters and ducting exist, only less commonly and usually through a ventilation wholesaler.
So the rule of thumb is simple. Building a grow setup, 150 mm is the size that makes your life easy and this fan is the logical choice. If there is already a 160 mm duct in the building, the TT Pro 160 is the better fit.
What not to do is reduce 160 to 150 with an adapter just to use grow components. It works, but your whole run then performs as a 150 mm system while you paid for a 160.
What 520 m³/h covers
On high this fan delivers 520 m³/h, on low 405. Work out your own space from its volume in cubic metres times sixty: a 120 x 120 x 200 cm tent is nearly 3 m³ and so asks for around 175 m³/h for one air change per minute. Even with a carbon filter and a few metres of ducting there is headroom left here, and you spend that headroom by running it on the low speed.
Build and maintenance
ABS casing, mixed-flow impeller, ball bearings and IPX4, rated for continuous duty to 60 °C. The motor and impeller block lifts out of the casing on clamps, so cleaning does not mean disconnecting ducting. At 3.19 kg it hangs from an ordinary mounting point, but not from the ducting.

Frequently asked questions
Why do you stock the Pro in 160 and the standard in 150?
Vents does not build every series in every size. 150 mm is the common growing size; 160 mm comes from building ventilation.
Will a 150 mm carbon filter fit?
Yes, and that is exactly the advantage of this size: everything in 150 mm is available everywhere.
Is 44 dB(A) loud?
That is the high speed at three metres. On low it is 33, which is clearly audibly different.
Can it hang vertically?
Yes, any orientation. Do hang the weight from a mounting point rather than from the ducting.
