The TT Pro 100 RV is the smallest of the TT Pro range. The word that sells the whole series is mixed-flow, and it is worth knowing what that means before you set it against an ordinary duct fan.
What mixed-flow does that an axial fan cannot
There are two classic ways to move air along a duct. An axial fan works like a propeller: the air travels straight through. That shifts plenty of air against little resistance, but as soon as something is in the way the airflow collapses.
A centrifugal fan flings the air outward and builds pressure doing it. That holds up far longer against resistance, but the fan is larger, heavier and usually louder.
Mixed-flow sits precisely between the two. The impeller drives the air partly straight on and partly outward, and the profiled vanes in the casing turn that spin back into a straight stream. The result is a fan the size of an axial one that builds pressure like a centrifugal one.
Why that matters to you: the moment a carbon filter is attached, there is resistance. An axial duct fan of the same size loses a large part of its airflow, while this one keeps going. With nothing attached the difference is small, and an axial fan is cheaper.
Build and maintenance
The casing is low-flammable polypropylene, which is what separates the TT Pro series from the standard TT in ABS. The motor runs on ball bearings with a design life of 40,000 operating hours and carries thermal overload protection.
The motor and impeller block is held in the casing by clamps and lifts out complete. So you clean the impeller without disconnecting any ducting, which saves half an afternoon at your annual service. It mounts in any orientation: horizontal, vertical or at an angle.

Frequently asked questions
Why are two noise figures given?
Because the fan has two speeds: 27 dB(A) on low and 32 on high, both measured three metres away. Closer up you will measure more.
Can I put a carbon filter behind it?
Yes, and that is exactly what the mixed-flow design is for. Do size the filter generously so it does not become the bottleneck.
What is the difference from the standard TT 100?
The Pro has a polypropylene casing, an optimised impeller with inlet collector and outlet diffuser, and moves more air. The standard TT is ABS and cheaper.
Can it hang vertically?
Yes, in any orientation. The ball bearings allow any mounting direction.
