Vents VK 150 Duo R centrifugal fan Ø 150 MM

A 150 mm centrifugal duct fan with two speeds: 264 or 445 m³/h. Fits a 150 or a 160 mm duct.

The VK 150 Duo R has the widest gap between its two speeds of any Duo in this range. That makes it more interesting than it looks.

The widest range in the series

Between 264 and 445 m³/h sits a factor of nearly 1.7. On the smaller Duo models that ratio is tighter, which makes the choice between low and high matter less there.

What a range like this buys you: one fan that runs quiet baseline ventilation and still handles a peak, without leaving you short on the low speed. 264 m³/h is already enough for a 120 x 120 cm tent, so low here is not an emergency setting but your normal operation.

You then reserve the high speed for when it is genuinely needed: lamps at full power, a warm summer day, or a room that has to dry quickly after spraying.

That is also the cheapest way to run a fan like this. A motor spending most of its time on the low winding draws less and makes less noise than the same motor pinned on high, and you still have the reserve in hand.

You switch with the matching thyristor controller, or automatically with a timer rated for the fan's power.

Build

Centrifugal impeller with backward-curved blades, balanced during assembly. Asynchronous external rotor motor with two windings and a thermal cut-out that recovers by itself once cooled. Bearings for at least 40,000 running hours, plastic housing that does not corrode, IPX4 and class II.

Is the low speed usable as the normal setting?
Yes. 264 m³/h is enough for a 120 x 120 cm tent, so the high speed stays in reserve.

Why not just the standard VK 150?
That has a single 460 m³/h speed. The Duo adds a genuine low speed the motor was built for.

Can it switch between speeds automatically?
With a timer, provided it is rated for the power. Switching on temperature needs the U version.

Does it fit 160 mm as well?
Yes, like the other 150 mm models in this range.
