Height is the constraint, not power

This is the first thing to know before ordering. The tent in this set is the CLOUDLAB 422: 60 × 60 cm of floor, but 120 cm tall. Most tents with the same footprint are 180 cm.

Those 60 cm decide what fits. A light hangs from the roof bar, the plant stands in a pot, and growing room has to fit in between. At 120 cm that works for one plant you keep short, and not for one you let run to two metres.

The rest of the set is matched to it: the IONBOARD S22 covers exactly 60 × 60 cm in flower, and the ventilation is sized for this volume. If you want the same floor area with more height, the CLOUDLAB 722 at 180 cm is the tent to look at, though it does not come as a system like this.

What makes the AI+ different from the ordinary Advance set

AC Infinity sells two kinds of complete set around the same tents. The difference is the controller.

The CONTROLLER AI+ drives up to eight devices, with WiFi and Bluetooth, an 11.4 cm touchscreen and an included probe for temperature, humidity and VPD. It runs the fan and the light on what it measures rather than on a clock alone.

In practice that means the extraction speeds up as it gets warmer and eases off when it does not need to, and the light follows a schedule you set in the app. That is the reason to take this set over a tent with separate parts you wire together yourself.

Note the L-shaped UIS cord. It looks like a detail and it is not: the tent has a controller plate on the outside, and behind that plate a straight plug is often just too long. That is what the L-shaped one is for.

The frame and what you may hang from it

Ø 22 mm steel tubing with a metallic finish, where most grow tents use 18 mm. AC Infinity publishes 113 kg as the beam weight capacity, the same figure as across the rest of the CLOUDLAB range.

Separate mounting bars are emphatically not roof bar replacements. Hang the light and the filter from the roof bars, not from an accessory bar.

With the light at 115 W and a filter alongside you sit well under that limit. On this set the load capacity is not what you run into; the height is.

How many plants can I grow in this?
One. The set is sized for that, from the light coverage to the two 19 litre pots.

Is 120 cm tall enough?
For one plant you keep short, yes. If you want more height on the same floor area, look at the 180 cm CLOUDLAB 722.

Do I still need anything?
Not for the set-up itself. Nutrients, substrate and a timer for anything outside the system are bought separately.

Why are there two different UIS cords?
One straight and one L-shaped. The L-shaped one is meant for behind the controller plate, where a straight plug often will not fit.

How much may I hang from the roof bars?
113 kg according to AC Infinity. Hang from the roof bars only, not from the separate mounting bars.
