Why there is a second door

At 120 × 120 cm something happens that does not arise in smaller tents: the back corner is out of reach.

Work it through. From the front edge an adult arm reaches roughly 60 to 70 cm into the tent. The back wall sits at 120 cm. The rear corners are further still on the diagonal. On the 632 and the 642, both 60 cm deep, you reach the back wall with an outstretched arm. Here you do not.

That is a growing problem rather than an inconvenience. Plants you cannot reach easily get checked less often, pruned less carefully and watered later. In a corner you can only get to by climbing inside, you find mildew or spider mite a week late.

Hence the second door in the side, present from the 733 upward. With two doors on adjacent walls you approach every corner from the nearest side. You do not step inside, you do not tread on the spill tray, and you do not lean over the front plants to reach the back ones.

If you are weighing this size against the 733, the difference is not only 0.63 m² more floor: it is that here you genuinely need two doors rather than merely appreciating them.

Roof structure and load

The 844 has four roof bars, two of which run the full length. The smaller models up to the 722 have three. That gives you two parallel hanging lines across 120 cm, enough to place a large fixture and the ventilation alongside each other.

The frame is Ø 22 mm steel tubing with a metallic finish, against the 18 mm that is common. AC Infinity publishes 113 kg as the beam weight capacity. Separate mounting bars are emphatically not roof bar replacements and will not carry a light or heavy ventilation.

Canvas, ports and finish

A 2000D oxford outer canvas with cross-patterned diamond mylar inside. Four 100 mm ports and five at 200 mm, all cinching from both sides. The 35 × 120 cm viewing window runs almost the full width, so you take in the whole canopy at a glance without opening the tent. Supplied with a waterproof spill tray, a detachable tool bag and a steel controller plate with a lightproof cable passthrough.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reach the back corners without stepping inside?
With both doors, yes. The front door covers the near half, the side door the far half. With a front door alone it would not work at this depth.

Are there 150 mm ports?
No. The 844 has 100 mm and 200 mm. For 150 mm, use a reducer on a 200 mm port.

How many roof bars are included?
Four, two of them full length. That is the same arrangement as the 733 and the 866.
