Putting it up on your own, at the largest size

"Tool-free assembly" appears on nearly every grow tent, and it is true. What usually goes unsaid is whether you can do it alone, and at this size that is the question.

The poles are Ø 22 mm and click into cast plastic corners, so nothing is needed for that. The frame stands within a quarter of an hour. The awkward part comes after: pulling a 120 × 120 × 200 cm canvas over a standing frame while aligning four sides at once.

What makes doing it alone straightforward:

• Build the frame upside down, roof on the floor, and add the uprights afterwards. That way you never work above your head.
• Slide the canvas over the frame while it is still low and stand the tent up only then.
• Zips last. Pull the canvas evenly taut across all four corners first; closing a zip on a skewed canvas is the standard way to damage it.
• Allow room around it. This tent needs 120 cm plus space for your arms; assembling it against a wall does not work.

The box weighs 15 kg, which one person lifts comfortably but does not carry up a staircase without a pause.

According to the manufacturer's specification this size shares the 100's port layout: left 1 × 100 mm, 1 × 162 mm and 1 × 203 mm; right 1 × 100 mm and 1 × 162 mm; back 1 × 102 mm and 1 × 162 mm; and 1 × 254 mm in the roof. Every port has a drawstring, so you pull it tight around smaller ducting or cinch it shut when unused.
