Two speeds, and why you would choose the low one

This is the only Bonanza with an extraction fan you can turn down. The GT 125 runs from roughly 230 to 360 m³/h, and that is not a detail for enthusiasts: it is the control you steer the cabinet's climate with.

On high you remove the most heat. That is what you want with a heavy fixture, in summer, or when the room the cabinet stands in is already warm.

On low, three things happen at once. It is quieter, which counts when the cabinet lives in an occupied room. You pull away less heat, which in a cold space is an advantage because your crop does not get chilled. And you pull away less moisture, which during propagation is often exactly what you want.

The temptation is to run flat out permanently because it feels safer. That costs you noise, and in a cool room it costs you temperature you then have to put back with a heater. Choose the speed on what you measure, not on what looks most thorough.

With the doors closed G-Tools quotes roughly 45 dB at 1 metre.

The filter and the airflow

The fan is mounted directly on a Prima Klima K2601 carbon filter rated at 360 m³/h, so air passes through the carbon before it leaves. The filter's capacity deliberately matches the fan's high setting; on low the filter has capacity in hand.

Along the bottom of the rear wall are six light-tight air inlets, double the 0.35 models, because the growing area is almost three times larger. With the fan running and the sliding doors closed, negative pressure draws fresh, CO₂-rich air diagonally past the crop to the filter.

Sliding doors and lighting

The 1 m² has sliding doors rather than wing doors. They travel along the front and take up no floor in front of the cabinet when opened, which at 118 cm wide is the difference between fitting an alcove and not.

The ceiling carries six mounting points for up to three grow lights, with two Light Hanger sets to adjust height. The fixtures themselves are not included, so you can match light output to your own method.

The WiFi Smartbox has four sockets: two permanently live and two you put on a schedule through the app, for lighting and irrigation for instance. There is a 3-in-1 growing system matched to this cabinet size.

Frequently asked questions

When do I use the low speed?
In a cool room, with a lighter fixture, or when you want to hold humidity during propagation. Also when noise matters more than cooling.

Why six air inlets?
Because the growing area is almost three times that of the 0.35 models. More area needs proportionally more air supply.

No. There are six mounting points for up to three lights and two Light Hanger sets; the fixtures are your choice.
