Grow tent measuring 60 × 60 × 160 cm with a 420D nylon outer canvas, silver mylar interior and a steel tube frame with plastic corner joints. The smallest size in the Probox Basic range.
A tent you can also put away again
The Probox Basic frame is steel tubing pushed into plastic corner and T-pieces. No screws, no bolts, no tools. That sounds like a detail about assembly, but what it really governs is what you can do with the tent when you are not using it.
A tent with fixed joints goes up once and stays up. This one comes apart into a bundle of tubes and a folded canvas, which fits behind a cupboard or in a loft. For anyone who grows once a year, or who needs the room back in between, that is the difference between a tent that fits your life and a tent that occupies a room.
There is a trade-off, and you should know it. Plastic joints are not as rigid as welded or clamped metal corners. They hold the frame perfectly well, but under repeated assembly and disassembly they are the part that develops play first. Build it unhurried, never force a tube into a joint that is not cooperating, and check the connections before you hang weight.
At this size it matters least. A 60 × 60 cm tent rarely carries more than a compact light and a small inline fan, comfortably below what the frame is rated for.
Canvas, light and ventilation
The outer canvas is 420D nylon, the entry tier within the Probox programme. The interior is silver mylar, which returns your light to the canopy rather than letting it disappear into the fabric. The zips are finished light-tight and the ports are fabric socks you draw closed with a cord.
There are five air ports of Ø 13.5 cm, plus one passive intake of 20 × 12 cm at the rear. Note that 13.5 cm: it is 135 mm, and that is not a standard ducting size. A 125 mm duct clamps into it well with the sock drawn in. A 150 mm duct will not pass through it light-tight. So plan on a 125 mm ventilation setup.

Frequently asked questions
Can I take it down and store it?
Yes. The frame separates without tools and the canvas folds. Take your time building and dismantling, since the plastic joints are the part that develops play under rough handling.
What duct size fits?
125 mm. The ports are Ø 13.5 cm, so 135 mm, which a 125 mm duct clamps into well. This tent is not built for 150 mm.
How does it differ from the Basic 80?
The same 160 cm height and the same ports, but an 80 × 80 cm floor instead of 60 × 60.
