Propagation cabinet measuring 120 × 40 × 200 cm with five levels, a 420D nylon outer canvas, reflective mylar interior and plastic-coated wire shelves each with their own drip tray. Room for ten standard seed trays.
Capacity is ten trays times your tray
Cutting capacities from 840 to 1500 circulate for this product. That looks contradictory and it is not: they are all the same cabinet with a different tray in it.
The arithmetic runs like this. Each of the five levels is 120 × 40 cm, which takes exactly two 60 × 40 cm seed trays. Five levels times two trays is ten trays. The number of cuttings is then simply ten times the cell count of whichever tray you use:
- 84-cell trays, such as common peat-plug trays: 840 cuttings
- 120-cell trays: 1200 cuttings
- 144-cell trays: 1440 cuttings
- 150-cell trays, such as fine rockwool grids: 1500 cuttings
Every one of those figures is published somewhere, and every one is correct. What fits is therefore decided when you buy your trays, not when you buy the cabinet.
That has a practical consequence beyond the arithmetic. A finer grid gives more cuttings per tray but less root volume and less time before they must be potted on. A coarser grid gives fewer cuttings that can stand longer. So choose on your schedule: do you want many cuttings moved on quickly, or fewer that can wait a few weeks.
Five levels in 40 cm of depth
The cabinet is only 40 cm deep and 120 cm wide. That is the footprint of a bookcase, and it is why this fits somewhere an ordinary grow tent cannot: against a wall, in a hallway, or beside an existing tent.
Each level is a plastic-coated wire shelf with its own fabric drip tray beneath it. Water passing through a tray therefore stays on its own floor rather than running down onto the cuttings below. That sounds obvious, but on tiered setups it is precisely what goes wrong.
The two front doors measure 55 × 190 cm and come in two forms, clear and light-tight. So you can look without opening when that helps, and close it up completely when you want to control the photoperiod.

Frequently asked questions
How many cuttings really fit?
Ten trays. The cutting count is ten times your tray's cell count, so 840 with 84-cell trays and 1500 with 150-cell trays.
Does water run from one level onto another?
No. Each level has its own fabric drip tray under the shelf.
How much weight will a level carry?
The manufacturer publishes no figure for this. Spread the load across the shelf and, in doubt, work to what feels stable.
How does it differ from the Propagator M?
The M is a single 80 × 60 cm level for two trays. This cabinet has five levels for ten trays, and stands 200 cm rather than 40 cm.
