The mesh size is not a fixed figure

Most nets print a mesh size on the packaging. This one cannot, and that is the operating principle rather than an omission.

The net is elastic and has a fixed number of openings. You tension it between the tent poles using the four corner hooks. The further you stretch it, the larger each opening becomes. The same net therefore gives a fine grid in a 60 × 60 cm tent and a wide one in a 120 × 120 cm tent.

Work it out for your own tent: divide the width of your space by the number of openings you span across it. At 60 cm you are around 10 cm per square, at 120 cm around 20 cm.

That governs what the net suits. Small squares hold thin shoots in place and are useful if you start training early. Wide squares give a branch more room and make more sense if you mainly want the net to carry heavy tops. If you want a finer grid in a large tent, stretch the net less far and fill the rest with a second one.

Hanging and using it

The four supplied hooks go around the tent poles. You adjust tension by moving a hook to a different opening in the net, so there is nothing to tie or cut. The net can also be used vertically against a side wall, which helps if you want to train a plant to one side.

Put the net up before your canopy gets tall. Lowering a net over a grown plant costs you branches.
