Elastic scrog net in black rubber with 64 openings and four hooks, tensioned across a growing area from 60 × 60 cm to 150 × 150 cm. The larger of the two Pronets.

This is not a net that only fits a 150 tent

The name suggests one size, and that is wrong. The 150 in Pronet 150 is the maximum, not the size the net was made for. It tensions just as well in a 60 × 60, 80 × 80, 100 × 100 or 120 × 120 cm tent.

That follows from it being elastic and hung by four corner hooks. You place the hooks to suit your tent size, and set them in whichever opening gives the right tension. For a smaller space you simply fold the net back on itself.

So the real difference between the two Pronets is only the upper end of the range: the ordinary Pronet reaches 120 × 120 cm, this one 150 × 150 cm. With a 100 × 100 cm tent either will do. Choose this one if you are starting small but expect a larger tent later, because the net moves with you.

64 openings, and what that means per tent size

This net is an 8 × 8 grid, so 64 squares. Because it is elastic, the size of each square depends on how far you stretch it:

  • tensioned to 150 cm: roughly 19 cm per square
  • tensioned to 120 cm: 15 cm per square
  • tensioned to 80 cm: 10 cm per square

Small squares hold thin shoots and help with training a canopy early. Wide squares give branches more room and are mainly there to carry weight. You choose which, per cycle, with the same net.
