The joint that takes the most

Where four poles meet you are not on a corner but inside the frame: a point where a cross member joins a continuous tube, usually in the roof.

That makes this the most heavily loaded part of your frame. Everything you hang, hangs from the roof bars, and those forces gather at the junctions. On a tent rated to 75 kg, this is the piece of plastic a good share of that weight travels through.

It is also the part that shows first when something is wrong: a frame that sags slightly, or a roof bar no longer sitting square, more often points to a deformed junction than to a bent tube. Replacing one is cheaper and quicker than a whole frame, and Homebox states that all components are individually replaceable.

Fits

Homebox tents with Ø 22 mm poles, including the Ambient Q100+ and Q150+. Not frames with 16 mm poles.
