That 220 cm is for what stands under your plants

A 220 cm tent is easily read as room for bigger plants. It can be, but that is not what the height in this size usually gets used for.

Growing in soil, your pot sits on the floor and your plant starts at around 25 cm. With a water system it is different: the pots sit on a table or in a lid, with a reservoir underneath. Such a setup easily starts at 40 to 60 cm before a single plant is in it.

Work it through in a 180 cm tent. Sixty centimetres of system gone, a lamp and its hanging take another thirty to forty, and around 80 cm is left for the plant itself. That is tight. In this tent the same setup leaves you roughly 120 cm, and that is the difference between a system that fits and one you grow out of the tent.

Without a water system the extra height is still useful: you can hang your lamp higher without giving up plant height, which helps if you want to soften intensity without dimming.

What else changes against the Q80+

The poles go from Ø 16 to Ø 22 mm and the load rating from 50 to 75 kg. The OmniFlow vents grow with them, from 125 to 200 mm, and side access is added on both panels, so you can reach plants at the back without pulling everything forward.

That 22 mm also decides your spares: 22 mm connectors and hooks fit this tent, the Q80+'s do not.
