Same number of poles, different shape

The T-piece and the 3-way corner both join three poles, which is exactly why they get ordered in place of each other. The difference is the shape.

On a T-piece all three sockets lie in one plane: a continuous tube with a third pole at right angles to it, like the letter T. You use it where a cross member joins a long tube part-way along.

On a 3-way corner the three sockets sit in three different planes, so they form the corner of a cuboid.

Put the broken part on a table and see whether you can lay it flat with all three sockets facing up or sideways in the same plane. If you can, you need a T-piece. If one points up while the other two lie horizontal, it is the corner piece.

Fits

Homebox tents with Ø 22 mm poles, including the Ambient Q100+ and Q150+. Not frames with 16 mm poles.
