AutoPot - 1Pot 12 pot watering system

The 1Pot system for twelve pots is twelve trays each with an AQUAvalve5 on a 16 millimetre main line. It is a complete system and simultaneously a waypoint: the same line and the same reservoir carry far more than twelve.

One line, one tank, from one pot to a hundred

Every 1Pot system is built from the same parts. A tray, a valve, a pot, a branch. A twelve-pot system differs from a four-pot system only in how many of those there are, not in what they are.

That is why extending here is not a rebuild. You fit a tee into the main line, hang a branch off it with a new tray, and that tray governs itself: its own valve, its own fill cycle, its own dry-back. The rest of the installation notices nothing. Grown this way, a setup runs on to around a hundred pots on one line and one reservoir, provided the tank is large enough and stands high enough.

Practically that means you need not buy ahead. Twelve now and twenty in six months costs you twelve plus eight expansions, not a new system.

Where the limit actually is

Not in the number of valves but in your reservoir and your head height. More pots means more daily use, so a bigger tank or more frequent topping up. And because the system runs on gravity, the water level must stay above the trays; the longer your main line grows, the more that height matters for the furthest tray.

When extending, keep an eye on line length too. The 16 millimetre main exists precisely so twelve or more valves can be fed at once; the branch to each tray only has to cover the last short stretch.
