Nine plants, nine separate trays each with its own AQUAvalve5, connected to a 16 mm main line. The water tank is not part of the set, and that is a deliberate choice by the manufacturer.

The fitting in the box decides which tank fits

A 16 mm Click-Fit tank adaptor with filter is included. That is the fitting used by the foldable FlexiTanks: it clicks into the outlet and puts you straight onto the main line. It is not the fitting for the rigid 47 litre tank, which works through a top hat grommet in 9 mm.

This is not a detail when ordering. The set is built to hang off a foldable tank, which is also what AutoPot itself supplies with nine pot systems. Choose a rigid tank anyway and you need a different adaptor, hanging 9 mm off a system laid out for 16 mm.

Why the tank grows from eight pots up

AutoPot supplies the rigid 47 litre tank with one, two, four and six pot systems. From eight pots the manufacturer moves to a hundred litres or more.

That is not caution. Nine pots run nine independent cycles, which empties a tank noticeably faster than four does. The threshold sits where refilling turns from a weekly job into an every few days job.

The filter sits in the adaptor, and that is the reason to use it

A filter comes with the Click-Fit adaptor. That part keeps your valves open: anything floating in the tank otherwise ends up in nine AQUAvalves, and nine blocked valves announce themselves only once nine plants stand dry.

Check the filter at every refill, and do not let the tank run down to the bottom. It is the last few centimetres that carry the sediment along.

Why is no tank included? Nine pots want a larger tank than the rigid 47 litre one, and you choose that on size.

Will a rigid 47 litre tank fit? Only with a different adaptor. The supplied Click-Fit is for the foldable tanks.

How often should I check the filter? At every refill. It is the only part protecting all nine valves at once.

Can I go beyond nine pots? Yes, the 16 mm main line exists for exactly that.
