AutoPot - 1Pot extension

The 1Pot expansion set adds a single pot to an existing AutoPot system. You get a complete tray with AQUAvalve5, a 15 litre pot and the hardware to put it onto your main line.

One more pot is one more valve

That is the whole idea of 1Pot: you expand a pot at a time, not by trays of two or by module. The new pot gets its own tray and its own AQUAvalve5, and governs itself completely. It fills to 20 millimetres, seals under vacuum, runs dry and refills, at its own pace.

Nothing changes for your existing installation. The other valves share no water layer with the new one and notice nothing, as long as your reservoir can carry the extra use.

What is included to connect it

A 16 to 9 millimetre connector, a grommet and a metre of 9 millimetre hose. That is exactly how an AutoPot installation is built: a 16 millimetre main line past the trays, with a thinner branch to each valve. This set supplies that branch plus the piece that puts it onto the main.

Shut off the supply before fitting the tee. Otherwise the line drains and air reaches the other valves, and air in the line is precisely what upsets their vacuum seal.

Expanding by the pot, not by the pair

Here is the difference from the Easy2Grow expansion, which always adds a tray of two pots because there two pots share one valve. On 1Pot your setup grows one at a time.

That sounds like a small distinction and it shapes how you plan. Want one more mother plant, or one extra of a variety you are trying out, and you buy exactly that: one pot, one valve, one cycle. You need not invent a second plant to fill a tray, and you are not tied to a neighbour that has to drink at roughly the same rate.

Fit the two discs before the pot goes into the tray: the black Marix inside the pot, the black and gold Root Control Disc in the tray, gold side up.
