The 1Pot XL system for a single pot is the same system as standard 1Pot, with one difference that carries through everything: the pot holds 25 litres rather than 15.
What ten extra litres of root volume buys
Not more water per cycle. The AQUAvalve5 fills the tray to 20 millimetres regardless of pot size, then closes until the tray is empty. What changes is the buffer: how much moist substrate the plant can draw on between two fill cycles.
That buffer sets two things. First, how large the plant can get: roots need room, and a crop hitting the wall in 15 litres still has space in 25. Second, how long the cycle runs. More moist substrate means longer between running dry and refilling, so gentler swings and more slack through a warm spell.
Why this says three weeks where smaller systems say four
That is not a property of the valve. The system runs until the tank is empty, full stop. What differs is the ratio of reserve to demand: in 25 litres you stand a larger plant, and a larger plant transpires more per day. The same tank therefore empties sooner.
So the figure tells you about the plant, not the system. To cover longer, choose a bigger reservoir; that is where the control is.
When to choose XL
For crops that get large and stand long: fruiting plants in a greenhouse, big ornamentals, anything you run a whole season. For short crops, cuttings or plants you replace regularly, 15 litres is more practical and cheaper in substrate.

Frequently asked questions
Does an XL pot get more water per cycle? No, the tray fills to the same 20 mm. The pot holds more moisture between cycles.
Can I put a 15 litre pot on an XL tray? The trays differ in size; use the pot that belongs with the tray.
Is three weeks guaranteed? No, the system runs until the tank is empty. Larger plants use it faster.
Which substrate can I use? Soil, coco or clay pebbles all work, provided the medium wicks moisture upward.
