The 1Pot XL system for twelve pots is twelve XL trays with AQUAvalve5 on a 16 millimetre main line. The system goes together quickly; what people underestimate is what has to go into those pots.
Three hundred litres of substrate
Twelve 25 litre pots is 300 litres of medium. That is not a footnote in your planning but a separate purchase, a separate delivery and a separate job.
For comparison: the same twelve pots in standard 1Pot size would want 180 litres. That 120 litre difference is exactly what you buy and carry extra to make those larger plants possible. Count it when comparing the systems, because it sits outside the price of the system itself.
Each pot also wants a drainage layer of 2.5 to 5 centimetres of washed gravel, perlite or clay pebbles at the base. That is more material to buy, and it adds up across twelve pots.
Fill them once, properly
Fill and plant the pots before they stand on their trays. Water outside the tray, let them drain fifteen minutes, then wipe the base and sides clean and only then set the pot in place. Substrate landing in the tray ends up at the valve, and with twelve trays you would rather not start with that cleaning round.
Choose a medium that holds its structure. At 25 litres the distance from tray to pot top is considerable, and an over-compact substrate will not wick moisture up that height.

Frequently asked questions
How much substrate do I need? 300 litres for the pots, plus drainage material for the bottom centimetres.
Is that much more than standard 1Pot? Yes, twelve standard pots want 180 litres.
Can I fill the pots on the trays? Better not; fill and drain them off the tray to keep the valves clean.
Which medium works in a 25 litre pot? Something structure-holding; compact substrate will not wick up that height.
