A fabric pot with a stiff base

An ordinary fabric bag slumps as soon as it is wet and heavy. The FlexiPot is built differently: it has a rigid base, and that is exactly what makes it usable in a tray standing in water. The pot stays upright, does not sag over the rim and holds the plant where you put it.

It is also why this pot fits the same tray as the rigid 25 litre pot from the 1Pot XL family. Tray and collar are identical; only the pot differs. So you can run one crop in fabric and the next in plastic without altering the installation.

The one setup rule that really matters

Place the pot in the tray so that the fabric does not touch the AQUAvalve. Fabric resting against the valve wicks water and keeps the valve in damp air, and the level in the tray stops being accurate.

A root barrier belongs underneath the pot. Roots growing through a fabric base head for the water, and the water is where the valve is.

Where 20 litres sits in the fabric range

The 20 litre FlexiPot is the smallest fabric pot AutoPot makes. Larger sizes exist above it, but they no longer fit this tray: they belong to a different module.

That is worth knowing if you plan to scale up. Stay at 20 litres and you extend with the same trays to more pots on one tank. Move to a larger fabric pot and you replace not just the pot but the whole module.
