This aluminium grow table is built for one specific drip tray: the 0.52 by 0.52 metre tray used in Bonanza 0.35 m² grow cabinets. Not a universal table, then, but a component sized to fit.

Why being made to size matters

A drip tray sitting on an oversized table has its edges unsupported and flexes as soon as water stands in it. A tray with room to spare slides about. Either way water no longer goes where it should, and with a drip tray that is the only job it has.

This table is exactly the size of the tray: 52 by 52 centimetres, and 40 centimetres tall. The tray is therefore supported across its whole area, filled included.

What the height does

Forty centimetres lifts your growing surface off the cabinet floor. That helps working height, keeps everything away from a cold floor, and leaves room underneath for a tank or pump, which is scarce in a 0.35 m² cabinet.

Aluminium

Aluminium does not rust, and in a growing space everything is permanently in contact with moisture and nutrient solution. A steel frame left under a drip tray for years eventually shows it; aluminium does not.
