Three grow pots and a controller pot, together in a square block of 80 by 95 centimetres. The Growrilla Hydroponic system 2.0 RDWC 3 is made for a 100 by 100 tent, with 60 litres of nutrient solution flowing past the roots without a break.
Fewer plants, and letting them grow larger
You can fit four plants in a 100 by 100 tent, and many growers do. Three in that size is still a deliberate choice. Each plant gets a larger share of the lit area, and you can let it keep growing longer before it pushes into its neighbours.
In deep water culture plants grow fast, and you notice that mostly in width. Four plants in a small tent are often so close together halfway through flowering that you have to prune or tie down to get light to the lower buds. With three you still have that room, and you need to intervene less.
The work becomes easier to oversee as well. Three plants to top, train and check, one controller pot to measure and adjust.
The controller pot as the fourth corner
The pots stand in two rows. Two grow pots on one side, on the other a grow pot and the controller pot. That makes the whole a square that sits neatly in the middle of the tent, with a strip left free on every side.
Put the controller pot in the corner nearest the tent opening. That is where you measure EC and pH and top up, and you do that most often. There is no plant in the controller pot, so you do not have to reach between leaves to get to the water.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from the RDWC 4?
One grow pot. The air pump, the water pump and the 27 watt consumption are the same on both. The RDWC 4 needs 80 by 105 centimetres and belongs in a 120 by 120 tent. This one fits 100 by 100.
Can I add a fourth pot later?
The fittings come apart by hand, so you can. Do expect the system to get longer and a 100 by 100 tent to get tight.
What goes in the net pots?
Clay pebbles. They hold the plant upright and let the water through freely, so the roots can simply hang in the solution.
