The controller pot outside the tent

Most of the work happens in the controller pot. That is where you measure EC and pH, where you add nutrients and pH regulator, and where you drain when you refresh. As standard, that pot sits at the edge of the system, inside the growing area.

Growrilla has extension pieces for the delivery line for this, 40 and 60 centimetres long. With them you move the controller pot out of the grow space. You then measure and adjust without opening the tent, without letting light in during the dark period and without reaching between fully grown plants.

There is another advantage. Outside the tent it is usually cooler than inside, and a controller pot there is not warming up under the lamps. If you later want to connect a water chiller, the connections are in an easy place to reach.

Four short rows

With three pots per row and 50 centimetre spacing, each row stays short. In a 200 by 200 space that leaves about 15 centimetres in one direction and about 55 in the other to reach the pots. If you would rather have the twelve pots in a long strip, there is the version with three rows of four.

A square block also suits a square lighting plan. Under one large fixture, or four fixtures in a square, every plant falls within the same lit area, without an outlier at the end sitting just outside the beam.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move the controller pot later on?
Yes, the delivery line is held by push-fit connections. Do it when the system is empty, for example when you refresh the solution: disconnect the delivery line while everything is full and the water ends up on the floor.
