Sixteen pots in four rows of four, on 180 by 205 centimetres, with 272 litres of nutrient solution in circulation. The Growrilla Hydroponic system PRO RDWC 16 is made for a 240 by 240 grow space.
Connecting a water chiller
The more pots and lamps, the more likely the nutrient solution runs too warm in summer. Warm water holds less oxygen, and on a system this size a water chiller is often what makes the summer months predictable. Growrilla's manual describes two ways to connect one.
Through the circulation pump. You switch off the pump, turn the elbow on the bulkhead in the controller pot a quarter turn and connect the chiller's inlet and outlet there. The existing pump then also sends the water through the chiller.
With a pump of its own. A separate pump takes water from the system and sends it through the chiller and back via a 16 millimetre flexible hose. This is the method Growrilla recommends, for two reasons: the chiller gets exactly the flow it needs, and the circulation through the pots is not reduced.
With sixteen pots, that second reason carries real weight. The water pump has to drive the solution along four rows, and a chiller in that loop costs flow you would rather keep in the pots.

Frequently asked questions
Is a water chiller included?
No. The system is prepared for one, but the chiller, and with the recommended method the extra pump too, are bought separately.
Why is there no air pump in the specifications?
An air pump feeding all sixteen air stones is included. Growrilla's product page and manual just do not name the same pump, so we give no litres per minute until that is clear.
How much power does it use?
Growrilla states 140 watts. Since the pumps run day and night, that comes to just over 3.3 kWh per 24 hours.
