Eight pots in two long rows of four, 80 by 185 centimetres in total. The Growrilla Hydroponic system PRO RDWC 8 holds 144 litres in the system, and Growrilla recommends a growing area of 240 by 120: an elongated tent or a strip along a wall.
Topping up with a float valve
Eight mature plants evaporate a lot of water between them, especially on warm days in flowering. The level then drops faster than you can keep up with a watering can, and a low level means the roots have less solution around them.
That is why the PRO systems have a float valve. You connect a separate reservoir to it with a 16 millimetre hose. When the level in the system drops, the valve opens and top-up flows in until it is back at height. The tank itself is not included. Place it higher than the system, because without a pump water only runs downhill.
What you put in the tank
A float valve tops up the volume, not the nutrients. What is in the tank decides how your EC behaves. Top up with tap water and you dilute the solution a little each time. Top up with full-strength solution and the EC can creep up instead, because plants often take up proportionally more water than nutrients. A weaker solution in the tank is a common middle ground.
Either way, measure in the controller pot. That is where you see the mix of all eight pots, and where you adjust. A reservoir takes away the daily topping up, not the measuring.

Frequently asked questions
How large should the reservoir be?
Growrilla does not give a size. See how far your system drops on a warm day and pick a tank that bridges a few of those days.
What happens when the tank runs empty?
The system simply carries on as it would without a tank: the level drops until you top up. So put the tank where you can see it.
Can the tank stand on the floor next to the system?
Only if it ends up higher than the water level in the pots. If it is lower, nothing flows in.
