The 10 metre set waters up to forty pots and connects directly to mains water. That is what the pressure reducer inside it is for, and that component is the difference between this set and the smaller ones that run from a tank.
Why the pressure reducer is not optional
Tropf Blumat works at very low pressure. The sensors regulate with a diaphragm that opens on a small pressure difference, and mains pressure sits far above it. Connecting directly means leaking fittings, sensors running through, or simply a broken system. The reducer in this set brings pressure down to what the installation can take, which is why it belongs at the head of the line, immediately after the tap.
What a mains connection buys you
No tank running dry and no head height to arrange. On a forty-pot setup that is a real difference: a tank feeding forty plants for days is large, and it still has to stand high. Against that, you are tied to the tap, so for rainwater or mixed nutrient a tank remains the sensible route.
Forty sensors on one line
Forty pots sits comfortably within what a single supply run carries, so the fifteen metres of hose in this set goes out as one continuous line past the plants. The two T-pieces, elbows and end pieces are there to branch that line and close it off properly.

Frequently asked questions
Can I feed it from a tank instead? You can, but you then need a tank fitting rather than the reducer.
Can I leave the reducer out? No. Without it the installation sits at mains pressure and will not survive it.
Is fifteen metres enough for forty pots? For a continuous setup, yes. If the pots are widely spread, buy extra supply hose.
Can I add nutrients on a mains feed? Not without separate dosing equipment. For nutrients a tank is easier.
