AC Infinity - Hanging Drying Rack 44 45.7 cm 4-Tier

A hanging drying rack with four chambers and a 45.7 cm diameter, the smallest in the AC Infinity range. It is also the only one the manufacturer rates for a 60 x 60 cm tent.

The same length as its bigger sibling, just narrower

Here is the figure that stands out on no packaging and that actually decides your choice. This rack hangs 78.7 cm, and the four-tier rack with the 60 cm diameter hangs exactly the same. Both have four chambers, both chambers are the same height, and both therefore ask the same clearance under your hanging point.

So what the smaller diameter buys you is not height, it is floor plan. A 45.7 cm cylinder fits inside a 60 x 60 cm tent and still leaves room to get around it. A 60 cm cylinder does not fit there without pressing against the walls, and mesh resting against fabric dries poorly on that side. Choose on the footprint of your space rather than on its height.

What it is made of

The frame is flexible steel wire wrapped in a non-toxic polyester mesh. That flexibility is deliberate: the rack holds its round shape with material inside, then folds down into a flat disc that fits the carrying bag supplied with it.

Each chamber has its own zip running the full circumference and stands roughly 17 cm high, 6.75 inches in the manufacturer's own measure. Closed zips keep dust, insects and draught off your harvest and hold the material in place when you open a layer below. A Velcro loop at the top goes around almost any bar or pole; if you would rather hang from an eyelet, a hook is included.

Four chambers, one column of air

A stacked rack hangs in the same air as the rest of your space, and that air travels upward past all four layers. The more you stack, the more it matters that the column is moving. Four chambers puts you at the gentle end of that, but a fan keeping room air in motion, without blowing straight at the rack, is still the difference between even drying and patchy drying.

Frequently asked questions

Will this fit a 60 x 60 cm tent?
Yes, and it is the only rack in the range AC Infinity rate for that size. The other three measure 60 cm across and are given clearance from 90 x 90 cm upward.

How much height do I need?
Allow 78.7 cm below your hanging point, plus whatever the hook or loop adds. In a tent that usually means taking the light out first.

How does it differ from the 60 cm rack that also has four tiers?
Only in diameter. Hanging length and chamber count are identical, so you are choosing on the width you have available.

Can the rack be washed?
The mesh is polyester and cleans with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Let it dry completely before folding it away into the bag.
