Power connector male - female 2 meter

A two metre connecting lead with a male appliance connector at one end and a female one at the other. Three-core, used among other things for the link between ballast and reflector.

Finished at both ends

This is the difference from the C14 leads alongside: this cable has a connector on both ends. There is nothing to strip, nothing to clamp and nothing to wire. You take it out of the packaging and it goes in between.

For anyone assembling a setup without tools, or who would rather not have a home-made joint in the path of the lamp current, that is the whole point. Every connection you do not have to make yourself is a connection that cannot work loose because you did not quite tighten it enough.

Male and female

The male end has pins, the female has holes. On this kind of link the female end always faces the side the power comes from and the male end faces the device. That way an exposed pin is never live when you unplug the cable.

Two metres

Two metres is the size for equipment hanging close together. Measure it, and leave some slack at both connectors: a cable pulled tight tugs at the connection. For longer distances the same cable exists in four metres.
