Flexible three-core installation cable, white, 1.5 mm² per conductor. Sold by the metre, so you buy the length you need rather than a reel.
What VMVL is
VMVL, harmonised designation H05VV-F, is the standard flexible cable for connecting equipment indoors. Copper conductors in a PVC sheath, voltage class 300 to 500 volts. Flexible means the conductor is made of many fine strands rather than one solid core, so the cable routes and bends without breaking.
Three cores means live, neutral and earth. That is what you need for anything with a metal housing, and therefore for virtually all ballasts, fans and pumps.
Not for a damp room
This is the point missing from most product pages and the one that matters most here: VMVL is not suitable for damp spaces. A grow room is exactly that. A tent at 70 percent humidity, condensation against a cold outside wall, a knocked-over watering can: none of it is what this cable was made for.
In practice: keep joints and connection points out of the wet zone, do not run cable across a floor where water can stand, and for a genuinely wet environment use a cable type intended for it. If you are unsure, put it to someone who knows.
Which thickness
1.5 mm² is the usual size for equipment on a normal circuit. Check what your device itself states and read the printing on the cable: that marking is authoritative, not a rule of thumb. For heavier or longer runs the same cable exists in 2.5 mm².

Frequently asked questions
Can this cable go in my grow tent? VMVL is not intended for damp spaces. Keep connections out of the wet zone, and for a genuinely humid environment choose a more suitable cable type.
Why three cores? Live, neutral and earth. Anything with a metal housing should be earthed.
How much can this cable carry? Go by what your equipment states and by the printing on the cable itself. That is authoritative.
Do I get one piece? Yes, you order the number of metres you need.
