AC Infinity IONFRAME EVO3 (280W)

The IONFRAME EVO3 is a 280 watt bar fixture with 840 Samsung LM301H EVO diodes, built for a 120 × 60 cm growing area. Its driver detaches, and the supplied schedule panel handles ten brightness levels plus a gradual sunrise and sunset.

120 by 60 is a shape, not an area

Count in square metres alone and this lamp looks interchangeable with a square model: 120 × 60 cm is 0.72 m², and 90 × 90 cm is 0.81 m². Barely a difference. Inside the tent it works differently. The EVO3 spreads its light along bars laid side by side, so the fixture is strong in one direction and narrow in the other.

That is why it does not belong in a square tent. In a 90 × 90 cm space two edges stay underlit while the middle receives more light than it needs. The reverse holds too: a square model in a long tent leaves both ends dark. AC Infinity drew every model in this range around its own shape, and that is not marketing, it is the reason there are four models.

The practical rule: choose the shape of your tent first and the wattage second. A bar fixture with plenty of watts hanging in the wrong proportion delivers less usable light than a smaller one that actually fits.

Frequently asked questions

Does the EVO3 fit a 90 × 90 cm tent?
Physically yes, but you are left with two weak edges. For a square tent that size the EVO4 is the better choice.

Why is there no efficiency figure for the whole fixture?
Because AC Infinity does not publish one. The 3.14 µmol/J you see everywhere is the rating for a single diode, not for the complete fixture. That is why we list it under that label.

What does a PPFD of 1745 tell me?
It is the highest value at the centre of the light map, not the average across your tent. Readings at the edges are always lower.

Do I need a separate controller?
No. The schedule panel is included and handles timing and brightness. A UIS controller adds app control and automation.
